I CAN'T STAND IT
City Room: Driver in Deadly Crash Was Drunk, Officials Say By AL BAKER and SEWELL CHAN Today, 6:13 PM The driver in a Westchester crash that killed eight people had used marijuana, and vodka was found in her vehicle.
I'm not even going to link to the article, because why read it? What more is to be said? A drunk driver killed 8 people. Oh but, don't forget, they USED MARIJUANA! YEA I AM SURE THEY CRASHED BECAUSE THEY USED MARIJUANA, NOT BECAUSE THEY WERE DRINKING VODKA. The fact that they even mention that shows what kind of nonsensical bullshit(excuse my language & caps... but... REALLY) our entire media & political systems are on. They're all on the same page in the wrong book. I posted something on facebook yesterday, an article which said that 10.5% of Americans are on some kind of anti-depressant medication. 10.5%! Think about that, 1 in 10 people you look at is on a pill which alters the chemical balance of their brains. 1 in 10.
And now today, I see this. A clear case of a drunk driver killing people. But they have to throw in that they used marijuana. Not as a sidenote at the end of the article. Not as a detail included in the analysis. But mentioned first before the true devil which is LEGAL. A plant that grows in the ground freely if you toss seeds in the grown, like any other weed. But it is a killer. It is destructive. It results in death.
Not those pills. They don't kill
Not those bottles, no, they don't drive people to be foolish at best
deadly at worst
sold at every corner store
and then wonder why we smoke cigarettes.
I really can't stand it.

Rule
6.8.09
What can I say?
"No war we should take time to think, the bombs and tanks make mankind extinct"
The number 1 song in the US on June 11, 1985 (my born day) was Tears for Fears "Everybody Wants to Rule the World". In 2001 NaS recorded a song called "Rule" in which I took the above quote from. The music from that song was made up entirely of samples of the Tears for Fears song. I truly feel I was born to speak up and there have been many reminders in my life of what I'm here to do.
I'd like to talk a little about something that happened on twitter today, I was doing my thing per usual and I see a post that says
@aplusk: This should be a national crisis, send in Blackwater RT NYtimes Alert North Korea Sentences Journalists to 12 years in Labor prison
Now, first of all, I know he was joking, but there's nothing funny about Blackwater, the fact that they kill people, the fact that they are paid by US tax dollars (read: YOUR MONEY), it's just bad all around.
So I said
@thomasthought WAR IS OVER IF YOU WANT IT, SOUNDS LIKE YOU WANT A FIGHT, You have an influence! Stop blowing it please!
@thomasthought If john lennon were alive he'd set you straight, but he's not, and I'm not famous yet so you won't listen to me. Guns won't solve it!
Now keep in mind user @aplusk has 2 million followers on twitter. That means his every posted thought gets transmitted to his followers who subconsciously or consciously get the idea that blackwater(or anything) is something to joke about is cool. I didn't expect him to reply, to his credit, he did :
@aplusk I don't think fighting is the first alternative or the second but holding american hostages is not kosher
I didn't say this to him but I thought - First or second? that's it? You don't even try or conceive that there might be a third or good lord, even a fourth option? My response:
@thomasthought true it's not kosher but sending guys in with guns is gonna get SOMEONE killed, guaranteed. We can work it out my brother, have faith.
To which he totally ignored and moments later made this statement to his 2 million followers(no doubt mostly American):
@aplusk we should find out what the largest social network is in china and run a campaign to encourage the people there 2 help
@aplusk bottom line, china needs to step it up
Now, he totally changed the topic, and ignored what I said about him making light of an AMERICAN SUPPORTED private military mercenary company. My response:
@thomasthought before we try to encourage the people of China to action we should address the apathy right here. It's US that needs to help more.
I was not surprised that the statement was ignored. Everybody Wants to Rule the World, it's our turn now.
